We start at the Rainbow Valley, walking among multicolored hills and visiting the natural formation known as the Petrified Waterfall. Then we continue to Yerbas Buenas, an archaeological site filled with petroglyphs and pictoglyphs carved by ancient caravan travelers. Your bilingual guide provides context about the region’s minerals and cultural legacy. Return to San Pedro around 13:00. Altitude: 2,600–3,200 m. Entrance: CLP 10,000 (paid on site, with discounts for students, seniors, and indigenous groups—see Rainbow Valley blog for details).

Departure from San Pedro: Pick-up between 07:00 and 07:30 and transfer northwest toward the Domeyko Range.

Rainbow Valley and Petrified Waterfall: Explore the colorful hills and visit the natural formation known as the Petrified Waterfall, ideal for photos and geology lovers.

Yerbas Buenas Archaeological Site: Visit Yerbas Buenas to learn about ancient caravan routes and observe petroglyphs and pictoglyphs carved into volcanic rock.

Return to San Pedro: After exploring the area, return to San Pedro around 13:00 with panoramic views of the Domeyko Range.
