Journey details
Set out from San Pedro de Atacama for a private journey through the high-altitude lagoons and desert landscapes of southern Bolivia. Visit Laguna Verde, Polques hot springs, Sol de Mañana, Laguna Colorada and the Siloli Desert before reaching Uyuni. The next day brings the Train Cemetery, Colchani and the vast salt flat, with lunch served on the salar and time to enjoy the landscape toward sunset, weather permitting. On the third day, travel back across the Altiplano and return to San Pedro de Atacama. Hotels and visits are subject to availability, access and travel conditions.

Check the documents required to enter Bolivia and return to Chile according to your nationality and immigration status. Carry 400 Bolivianos in cash per person for entrance fees and personal expenses; entrance fees are not included in the tour price. Bring warm layered clothing, comfortable shoes, sun protection and a swimsuit if you wish to bathe at Polques. Allow time to acclimatize before this high-altitude journey, and tell us about food allergies or dietary restrictions before departure. Confirm luggage space when booking.

Where do we stay?
The itinerary lists Palacio de Sal for the first night and Mallku Cueva or Jardines de Uyuni for the second, depending on availability. Room and bathroom types must be confirmed when booking.
What documents do I need for the border crossing?
Requirements depend on your nationality and immigration status. Each traveler is responsible for checking and carrying the documents needed to enter Bolivia and return to Chile.
Does the expedition end in Uyuni or San Pedro de Atacama?
It returns to San Pedro de Atacama on the third day. Arrival is estimated for the early evening and depends on road and border conditions.
