Journey details

This shared morning bike tour begins at the Molantur agency, located at Pje Vilama 425 A, in San Pedro de Atacama. After receiving the bicycle, helmet and safety instructions, we start pedaling toward Catarpe, a scenic desert sector at the entrance of the Salt Mountain Range. At Catarpe, each passenger must pay the entrance fee of CLP 6,000 when booking directly through the website. If the tour is quoted through our bot or with a Molantur travel advisor, the entrance fee is included in the final quote and managed by Molantur. After arriving at the entrance, we continue with an approximately 30-minute trek to reach the viewpoint. Explore San Pedro de Atacama, one of the world’s most unique desert destinations, with tours designed for every travel style: shared, semi-private and private experiences.

San Pedro de Atacama is the gateway to some of the most extraordinary landscapes on Earth, including salt flats, volcanoes, geysers, high-altitude lagoons and some of the clearest night skies in the world. Located in northern Chile, this destination combines geology, culture and extreme environments in a compact and accessible area. At Molantur, we offer three types of tour experiences adapted to different travel styles: Shared tours: ideal for travelers looking for a complete experience at an accessible price, with groups of up to 15 passengers and fixed schedules. Semi-private tours: small groups of up to 8 people, designed to provide a more comfortable, flexible and personalized experience while maintaining a balanced cost. Private tours: exclusive service in a private vehicle with a dedicated guide, allowing flexible schedules, custom stops and a fully tailored experience. Due to the high altitude of many destinations (over 4,000 meters), we recommend proper acclimatization and hydration. Each tour includes transportation and a professional guide, while entrance fees to parks are usually paid on site. San Pedro is not only a destination, but a base to explore the Atacama Desert through different levels of comfort, adventure and connection with nature.
