Journey details

This semi-private afternoon tour, with a maximum of 8 travelers, takes you to the Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache, a group of turquoise hypersaline lagoons located in the Salt Mountain Range. We leave San Pedro and travel through desert landscapes, salt formations and open views until reaching this unique natural setting. Upon arrival, we walk along the marked trail that connects the lagoons and enjoy time to float in the authorized areas. The high salt concentration allows you to float with very little effort. As the afternoon light becomes warmer, we enjoy the contrast between turquoise waters, white salt crust and desert silence. We end the visit with a relaxed cocktail before returning to San Pedro. Entrance fee is not included when booking directly through the website; if you request a quote through our bot or with a Molantur travel advisor, entrance fees are included in the final quote and managed by Molantur.

The semi-private tour has a smaller group size, with a maximum of 8 travelers. This allows for a more comfortable pace, more personalized attention from the guide and a quieter experience at the lagoons.

Is the entrance fee to Baltinache included?

Expand

If you book directly through the website, the entrance fee is not included, because the ticket type may vary depending on each passenger. If you request a quote through our bot or with a Molantur travel advisor, entrance fees are included in the final quote and managed by Molantur.

Can I swim in the Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache?

Expand

Yes, swimming or floating is allowed only in the authorized lagoon areas. The guide will indicate where you can enter the water according to the current park rules.

Is the Baltinache tour physically demanding?

Expand

No, it is a low-difficulty tour. It includes short walks on marked trails and time near the lagoons. The main activity is floating in salty water, so no swimming experience is required.
