Journey details
This shared afternoon bike tour starts at the Molantur agency, located at Pje Vilama 425 A in San Pedro de Atacama. After a short equipment check and safety briefing, we begin cycling toward the Catarpe sector, where the entrance fee is paid before continuing the route. The ride follows desert paths and landscapes of the Salt Mountain Range until reaching the entrance to Devil’s Throat. The total cycling distance is approximately 20–22 km, combining open terrain, desert scenery and rocky formations. Once at the canyon, we leave the bikes and continue on foot with an approximately 30-minute uphill hike to reach a panoramic viewpoint. After enjoying the views, we descend on foot, return to the bikes and cycle back to San Pedro de Atacama. This is a moderate physical activity and requires basic cycling ability. Entrance fee is not included when booking directly through the website; if you request a quote through our bot or with a Molantur travel advisor, the entrance fee is included in the final quote and managed by Molantur.
