We will pick you up at your accommodation in a private vehicle and head toward the Salt Mountain Range to explore one of the Atacama Desert's most iconic landscapes. Inside Moon Valley, we will walk among dunes, salt formations and terrain shaped over time by wind and erosion. Being a private experience, the pace can be adapted to your group, allowing more time to observe the landscape, take photographs and enjoy each stop without the rhythm of a larger group. After exploring Moon Valley, we will continue to Mars Valley for the final part of the experience. Here, surrounded by the wide desert landscape, we will find a comfortable place to enjoy the end of the day before returning to San Pedro de Atacama. Lighting, cloud cover and sunset conditions depend on the weather and may vary from day to day.

Itinerary
Private Pick-up: We will pick you up directly at your accommodation in a private vehicle and begin the journey toward the Salt Mountain Range. Your guide will introduce the landscape and adapt the pace of the experience to the group from the beginning. Moon Valley: We will enter Moon Valley to discover its dunes, salt formations, canyons and geological shapes created by erosion. Short walks allow us to explore the landscape from different perspectives while the guide explains the geological and natural history of the area. Desert landscapes and photography: The private format gives us greater flexibility at each stop. We can dedicate more time to viewpoints, details of the Salt Mountain Range and photographic compositions, always respecting park regulations, operating conditions and the guide's recommendations. Sunset at Mars Valley: After leaving Moon Valley, we will continue to Mars Valley for the final part of the experience. Its broad views of the desert provide a peaceful setting to enjoy the changing light at the end of the day before returning to San Pedro de Atacama. Sunset visibility and colors depend on weather conditions.
Recommendations for your trip
Bring comfortable closed shoes, sun protection, sunglasses, a hat or cap and at least 1 liter of water per person. We also recommend bringing a warm layer or windbreaker, as temperatures can drop toward the end of the afternoon. A camera or phone is recommended to make the most of the photographic stops during the private experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can join the private tour?
The standard private reservation is for up to 4 passengers traveling in an exclusive vehicle. This allows us to offer a quieter experience and adapt the pace of the tour to the group.
Are the Moon Valley and Mars Valley entrance fees included?
For direct purchases through the Molantur website, entrance fees are not included and must be paid separately. When the experience is quoted through a Molantur travel advisor or chatbot, the entrance fees are incorporated into the final quote and managed by Molantur. The combined Moon Valley + Mars Valley entrance fee is CLP $16,800 per person.
Is the tour physically demanding?
No. The physical demand is low and the experience includes short walks. However, some sections have sand, slopes and uneven natural terrain, so comfortable closed shoes are recommended.
Is sunset always visible at Mars Valley?
The itinerary is planned to finish the experience at Mars Valley toward the end of the day, but visibility, cloud cover, colors and lighting conditions depend on the weather and cannot be guaranteed.
